If life were a tapestry, what would we see.... ?
The answer lies before life could be and at death it still isn't done..
A pattern of threads never woven alone,
Each stand and colour our people in different faces,
Each knot an interaction in several cases..
They are the threads of childhood,
And youth patches for tears and love,
And slights not understood..
Motifs for relationships and trials withstood..
A large part of this tapestry is bondage to parent to spouse to child,
For the recognized pattern lies in obligation..
Walking in the street, you pass so many people..
If each carried a coloured strand,
What myriad patterns they would make..
For both stranger and friend could change a design already planned..
Leave something for me before you go away, In the depths of my heart, In the scent of flowers, In the strains of a lute, And in the murmur of the wind...... Take something from me before you go away, A part of my sorrow, My tears of joy, And the speech of my silent eyes......

I wish we were free
The sun sets an eventful day
Blood and death pave the way..
Scenes of destruction, the stories tell,
The day when all of humanity fell..
Pain and suffering, fire and flames,
Just another one of those street games..
Killing people they never knew,
The real cause known to just a few..
What happiness can they hope to find,
Communal hatred, fear of the other..
Yet our country tells us that we are brothers,
What brotherhood.........?
What unity is this I see.........?
Where no one is safe, no one is free........

Men Described........
There are men around, if you would care to see,
They are there in fathers, who smile while their daughters drop the d/o from their address,
They are there in husbands, who don't wince with hurt egos, while the wife pays the bill,
They are there in brothers, who are content holding the roll, while little sis flies the kite,
They are there in boyfriends, who, don't mind admitting, that they ride pillion, and she rides the bike,
They are those who have realised, big egos are passe and chivalry is not frivolous,
They are also those who know, women don't really hate them,
They just love to hate them...................................................
